The French yogi with Mother Teresa The French Yogi in Varanasi
1989 – Kolkata
For those of you that don’t know me yet, please let me introduce myself: I’m Yogesh the French yogi. Since I’m a Sivananda yoga acharya, an expert in the field of yoga and meditation; I have already trained many people to learn and practice meditation. I frequently give yoga philosophy teachings here in Lyon and some other places in France. I am a simple yogacharya, close to everyone of you, with a life dedicated to universal peace and unconditionnal Love.
Every human being is perfection by nature but here with this blog my aim is to share with India and more specifically my dear Indian friends. I guess you’ll enjoy a lot what you’ll find here: not even some short yoga philosophy teachings but as well, and directly from France, things such as videos events, concerts or videos of different places in France (Lyon city, Paris, countryside and so on)!
I have stayed ten times in India either in Tamil Nadu or Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarkhand, Bengal, Gujarat but more specifically I have been used to stay many times in Varanasi or Puducherry, two very different and extraodinary places!
I will share with you my small experience of yoga and philosophy, I will also share with you my thoughts about Mother India and its contribution to the humanity. India has already given so much in the spiritual field with our glorious elders. The ancients rishis that have received directly the yoga from Brahman and then have transmitted to us inspiration, knowledge and wisdom.
India is a unique place on earth and many holy people were born and have taught yoga to the entire world like Sri Adi Shankaracharya, Bouddha , Ramakrishna, swami Vivekananda, swami Sivananda, Sri Aurobindo, Ma anandamoyi, Mother Teresa and so on… So many great souls have lived in India that it is impossible to list all of them .
Even nowadays we can meet holy people in India like Amma, Prahlad Jani, Sadhguru, Sri sri Ravi Shankar, and some great Tibetan Lamas like Dalaï Lama, Orgyen Trinle The Karmapa 17th, Kalou rinpoche and so on…
What I want to express is all of the extraordinary people are enlightening the world with their Love and wisdom. Their infinite light and their spiritual teachings will stay for ever in order to guide everyone of us.
What I want to say is we should be proud (a noble pride) to be an Indian human being and we should feel each of us bear a responsability and we should be worthy of our holy history. Being an Indian, you are supposed to be a light, an example for every human being. Many young people are disturbed with the modern life and totally forget where they are coming from, it shouldn’t be like that.
May India, with its glorious heritage go on and still show the right path to the world, take everyone to prosperity, peace and eternal bliss. India is a very special country on earth that is able to guide the world towards more understanding, harmony, fraternity and peace.
Hari om tat sat.
